25 Years in the Spectrum Scene

Mensaje por aowen » 03 Ene 2021, 14:49

I thought I'd already posted in this forum, but apparently not.

I used to do Spectrum stuff. Doing a retrospective on it right now: https://www.facebook.com/chevsstuff

Although I'm not part of the Uno team, I have contributed a lot of ideas that made it into the ZX Spectrum core over the years.

I'm not keen on the direction the Spectrum scene has gone over the last decade, particularly the last couple of years, but the Uno will always be special to me as it was the first hardware to almost completely implement the ZX Spectrum SE specification.

These days I'm working on the firmware for a new machine that will hopefully be implemented as a core for the Uno. You can read about it here: https://vintageisthenewold.com/introduc ... ocomputer/

Keep on keeping on aowen!...
You've made major contributions to the scene, particularly with your push for open source roms for real hardware!
There will always be haters, sadly... And undoubtedly, they often leave a discouraging effect on the soul... but there will always be more who appreciate your fine work than them in the ZX crowd...
I want to say a big "thank you" for the fine contributions you have made over the years, and I know that I'm not the only one who feels that way!
:)
