Problem with "Speech!"

Mensaje por Vanfanel » 03 Mar 2017, 16:58

The well-known Speech! program doesn't behave as expected on the ZX-UNO BBC Micro core. There is strange tone mixed with the words all the time.
This is how it's supposed to sound:

I am sure the problem isn't from ZXUNO but from the core which based on fpga core developed by the holget, user of stardot.com
I believe The stardot.com forum is the best place to ask for this problem. If holget correct his code, ZXUNO team will compile the new.

It seems the problems with speech! have been solved by using a NEW sn76489 model from the PACE project!!!!

Any hopes we can have an updated core build with this, please??
Hoglet told me to ask the ZX-UNO people, so here I am :maestro:

@azesmbog:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MM0dAVshTgg

----

The only informations I could find about Music 5000 is that it's some kind of synthesizer, programmed with it's own language called AMPLE.
It sounds VERY impressive!!!!

However, I have no idea on how to get it working with the core... I don't think the core has the synthesizer implemented: it should be BIG because it seems to be some hybrid (digital/analog) synthesizer like the SID but far more advanced.

As for the SID, I don't know of any BBC program to use it, but I will ask "Hoglet" on the stardot.co.uk forum.
