ZX-Uno XL
Re: ZX-Uno XL

Re: ZX-Uno XL
New issue 2 of the ZX-Uno XL now accept 7 to 28V with polarity rectifier.
ZX-UNO XL ISSUE 2
Stand-alone FPGA retro-computer.
Fits in the original ZX Spectrum 48K/48K+ cases.
Features on-board keyboard membrane connectors, 512K/2MB SRAM, 16MB Flash memory.
Optional WIFI add-on module available!
The ISSUE 2 board has many improvements:
- DC inlet circuit now accept 7 to 28v so you can use a variety of PSUs including the original ZX Power Supply. Also has a polarity rectifier so you dont have to worry about PSU polarity output.
- New expansion card with external ZXUNO addon 36 pin header.
- On board DIN9 RGB connector (pin compatible with Sega Megadrive, so you can use cheap aftermarket Megadrive RGB cables from china).
- Configurable NMI/RESET push button.
- Many board design optimizations.

NEW ZX-Uno XL Issue 2c PCB and Schematic : https://www.8bits4ever.net/product-page ... -xl-issue2
- Have ISP socket for Atmega328P .
Very good board, but which I don't like: the voltage regulator is 7805T.
In my opinion it is better the LM2596:
- lower droput voltage
- wide Input voltage range up to 40 V
- don't need a heat sink (but need a power inductor and diode)
- output current : 2A continuous
