Keyboards suitable for ZXUNO+
Keyboards suitable for ZXUNO+
This thread is about ZXUNO+ (with the PLUS), that has two host USB typeA port on the PCB, see photo:
http://zxuno.speccy.org/index_e.shtml
I open this thread with the hope that we are putting USB keyboards that can now be purchased new and work with the ZXUNO+.
They can be both compact keyboards (without a numeric block) and full, so that those who do not already have a USB keyboard will find it easy to find and purchase a working one.
This one with English layout and compact can work?

Re: Keyboards suitable for ZXUNO+
I have a PS2 keyboard
https://www.amazon.it/FQ100-KSX4-Tastie ... B01LWSHDL1
that work with a today's PC with an adapter like this:
https://www.amazon.es/StarTech-com-PS22 ... B00028OP2Y
I connected it to ZXUNO+ but doesn't work. What kind of USB keyboard should I buy for the ZXUNO+?

Antonio Villena answered me to use this one:

The protocol is PS/2, so you need to use keboards with dual protocol

Re: Keyboards suitable for ZXUNO+
For me that "McSaite, MC-W8017" keybaord doesn't work very well, because numlock is active after bootup so you have to use the keys 0, iop, klö, m,. together with the 'fn' key. There's no chance to toggle numlock on or off.
I made good experiences with a ps2 keyboard and a passive ps2-to-usb adapter. That work's very well. I got some HP PS/2 Keybaords via eBay from UK for 5 € per piece and roundabout 3 € for the ps2-usb adapter. Without adapter it works on zx-dos and zx-uno and with adapter it works well with the zx-uno plus.
Greetings

The high-end option is a WASDkeyboards.com keyboard with the v2.5 firmware. I have a Spectrum+ style design for the full size European layout they offer, but I can adapt it to any region. PM me if you have money to burn. https://www.wasdkeyboards.com/commander ... t-guy.html

Re: Keyboards suitable for ZXUNO+
Anyone got a solution to this?
My working PS/2 keyboard is not detected by my ZXUNO+ at all when using a PS/2 to USB adapter (tried both keyboard and mouse type just in case)
There isn't any documentation for the +, only the regular type so not sure if I could solder a PS/2 port to the + board?
