Saving SNA in 128 cores

Mensaje por marlim » 26 Nov 2016, 16:54

Hello everyone!

Does anybody have any tips on how to save SNA to the SD card on the 128 core (as the NMI "S" option in the 48k core)?

Thanks a lot!

Hi there!

I'm not sure what you mean with 128 core, there is no such core. Probably you mean the ZX Spectrum core, using the 128K ROM :-)

If you mean that, then you can use exactly the same procedure, I have just tried and got a 113K snapshot.

Maybe you mean how to do an snapshot when you boot in pure 128K mode, that is, with 128K basic, start menu, etc. Sadly it's impossible to boot on that mode and have DivMMC active at the same time, so as without DivMMC there is no ESXDOS, and without ESXDOS there is no NMI menu, I don't think it's possible to create an snapshot in that mode.

Thanks, Uto!

Sorry for messing up the core / rom categories, I'm glad you understood my predicament correctly.

If I understand your reply, there is no way to save 2A+ Basic or 128 Basic programs to the SD card as a SNA file like we can do with the 48K Basic, then? I have to use the SAVE "" to tape, I guess?

Muchas :gracias!:

Not as far as I know, unless there is some way to use the SD Card from 128 Basic using +3e ROMs and formating the SD as a +3DOS card. Maybe someone else can tell you about wether this option is possible or not, I'm afraid I'm not an expert on that solution.
