Is my ZXUNO faulty?
Is my ZXUNO faulty?
Is my ZXUNO faulty?
The build-in BIOS games don't works anymore!
I had upgraded many firmware and cores and maybe something was corrupted.
So I decided to restore factory settings. I have flash the big 4.2MB flash.zip on my ZXUNO.
But the problem remains! From the SD card, same games works as it should, from BIOS don't works!
I don't need games on BIOS, but I am afraid is something fault on my ZXUNO.
The screens looks like is a memory fault, but BIOS mem test passed OK.
Also the games works from SD, the problem is present only on BIOS.
Any ideas?

Re: Is my ZXUNO faulty?
It seems the flash is corrupted only on the ROM games. You can add some game by EAR from here:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... ERuUFdNRjA
If it works, delete the rest of the games and install again. Also you can upgrade by SD with ZX1RomPack

Re: Is my ZXUNO faulty?
I thought the ZX1RomPack included in 4.2MB file "flash.zip".
Is not included?
Where is the ZX1RomPack file and what upgrade option must select on BIOS to upgrade the ZX1RomPack?

http://www.atc.us.es/svn/zxuno/software/ZX1RomPack/
For update you must use ROMSUPGR utility. Download from here:
http://www.atc.us.es/svn/zxuno/software/upgrade/
Copy the ROMSUPGR file into the BIN folder on your SD and put ROMS.ZX1 on the root. Then boot with a rooted ROM and type:
.romsupgr
Re: Is my ZXUNO faulty?
I just upgrade the ROMs.zx1
The only game I found on this pack is Misco Jones and the screen is like the previous games corrupted!
Also some zx machines gives black screen.

Re: Is my ZXUNO faulty?
Please, make sure that you don't have DivMMC enabled in BIOS. That make ROM games to fail. Use "auto" instead, and make your own rom pack with the divmmc-enabled spectrum roms (machines, not games) you want.

You have right, I have the DivMMC enabled in BIOS!!!!Quest escribió:Please, make sure that you don't have DivMMC enabled in BIOS. That make ROM games to fail. Use "auto" instead, and make your own rom pack with the divmmc-enabled spectrum roms (machines, not games) you want.
I don't know this make the games on ROM fail!
I try again tonight but probably the problem was from DivMMC.
Thanks

Re: Is my ZXUNO faulty?
Yes. But when you upgrade complete FLASH.ZX1 you lose the DivMMC enabled settings. Good luck and thanks Quest for the idea.

Re: Is my ZXUNO faulty?
No, I don't loose it!!! After flashing, I don't exit without save changes.
The saving before exit, saves also the DivMMC enabled as is before flashing. So the DinMMC remains Enabled!
I will keep the DivMMC enabled to the future because, I don't care about BIOS games, but I will try with "AUTO" to ensure my board isn't faulty.

Re: Is my ZXUNO faulty?
I hadn't thought about that either, but now it's quite clear: if DivMMC is enabled, it will get activated when the entry points for DivMMC are executed. One of them is address 0066h (NMI entry point), that being a very low address is very likely to be executed in any of those ROMs pretty soon, then DivMMC pages it's code, that is supposed to be paged only on the standard ROM, and all game is messed up.bakoulis escribió: You have right, I have the DivMMC enabled in BIOS!!!!
