disabled my keyboard - possible to reset bios?
disabled my keyboard - possible to reset bios?
Hi - I don't know how I managed to do this, but I must have disabled my keyboard in the bios (is that even possible?). I changed the display to VGA and the core to Apple II - that worked fine but my keyboard is now unresponsive. I can't get to the bios and change it back
Is it possible to reset the bios on the board? What are my options here??

Re: disabled my keyboard - possible to reset bios?
It is not recommended to change the default core in the bios. For example the PC core changes the map of the keyboard and to enter bios it is necessary to press the 5 key and navigate with the joystick.
It is not possible to restore the bios, the only way is to update bios.

Re: disabled my keyboard - possible to reset bios?
Ah ok, but can I update the bios without access to the keyboard? Is it enough to place the bios file on the root of the sd card?
Re: disabled my keyboard - possible to reset bios?
or is there any information available about the keyboard mapping in the Apple II core?
Re: disabled my keyboard - possible to reset bios?
No information for this core, sorry. But you can press in boot "joystick down" for core start menu and this change keyboard map.
Re: disabled my keyboard - possible to reset bios?
Ah! Awesome! Joystick down was just what I needed! Thanks! Now I'm back to the 48k Spectrum, and I plan to keep it that way!
Re: disabled my keyboard - possible to reset bios?
Apparently this feature brings more problems than goods, there are already a few threads whose origin is someone changing default core and then unable to do something.
@Antoniovillena, may it be possible that BIOS resets the keyboard at the beginning to avoid situations like this. It's good the joystick down trick works, but it's not obvious.
Maybe just find a gap in load screen to show "F2 or joystick down for setup"? Not sure if there is enough room for that.

Joystick up for enter bios, maybe?
