Re: CP/M and the ZX UNO

Hi THX1138: Yes, there is a Quest's CP/M machine core. Look at this . You will need a disk image with CP/M 2.2. Download it from this page . NOTE: The core isn't 100% OK. There are some display problems in applications like WordStar 3.30, but the machine is faster than light :) I finally got the CP...

Re: Core Atari 800XL. DUAL POKEY STEREO UPGRADE

I was so happy when I discovered the ZX Uno had an Atari 800 core! The Atari XL/XE computers were great, I loved my 65XE but if I recall, BASIC had an issue with arrays, but it didn't ruin my enjoyment (I have a couple of 130XE's in storage now gathering dust). I had an Atari when Mercenary I and II...

Re: CP/M and the ZX UNO

And here's the info on the PiDP-8 for those interested in PDP goodness, it actually uses a modified version of SimH as mentioned above. http://obsolescence.wixsite.com/obsolescence/pidp-8 Just a quick additional note, just as the ZX Spectrum took on a whole life of it's own in the former Soviet bloc...

Re: CP/M and the ZX UNO

That's a PDP-11, I think there are architectural differences between the 8, 10 and 11. I know one is 36bit! Having a mainframe at home is such a cool idea, I'm currently playing with a Pi booting straight into Hercules - and running MVS. (and still struggling to submit a 'job').

Re: CP/M and the ZX UNO

@desUBIKado: Yeah, that's it! :D There are many text adventures available for CP/M in their almost-original forms! Maybe not SO historic as Uto says about the PDP-10, but almost... It's still quite a useful OS, I'm a big fan of it and I built a CP/M computer of my own using an Arduino DUE. There ar...

Re: CP/M and the ZX UNO

Brilliant, I'll look into this to and find out how to load the core onto my UNO! Do you know if it is an actual display problem? Most CP/M display issues are terminal config related, I recall having a problem with that disk image by Grant Searle, such as WordStar 3 display problems when I was workin...

CP/M and the ZX UNO

Has anyone been able to load the CP/M OS on the :zxuno: ZX UNO? I know the Spectrum +3 had CPM Plus, I have a copy but I don't know of a method of loading DSK files into the UNO. Or is there a CP/M compatible core available? Sorry my post is in English, I do not speak Spanish and the Google Translat...
